I was in there yesterday...spending too much $$ as usual :-\.

I'll be sure and give him a shout.  I would 1st find out specifically what you are targeting, and in what depth and clarity of water.  I'd bet he would be glad to help you out.
The last few times I was in the shop, he was tying up crab patterns like a mad man.  He'll definitely shoot you straight on the right patterns.

Well be targeting Permit, Bonefish, and Tarpon in the shallow flats. I'd like to get a few patterns early so I can get the needed materials to tie more.

You might want to ask him soon, I know he is really getting sick of tying those crab patterns. He charges $5 a fly. He's also getting ready to start a saltwater class. So I would ask him soon. I'll most likely see him today and mention it to him.
