The dogwoods have been particularly pretty this year, I think. I have never noticed so many pink ones either. This one was in downtown McCaysville GA.....

Looks like the one in my backyard - my daughter really, really, really liked pink when she was young, and I planted some around the playcabin I built her. This year it sure looks beautiful. There's a white one in a neighbors yard that I can see out our bedroom - probably a 25+ yo tree that is so covered with big blooms that it looks as if it was covered with handkerchiefs. And under moonlight - it just glows at night. Weren't any dogwoods in my part of Texas where I grew up, so this time of year is special. However, with all this dogwood beauty also comes the thought - Dogwoods blooming = striper biting.
