Title: I went on the skunk!
Post by: toddro on April 28, 2008, 08:41:42 AM
I went out Sat. & Sun. both and got skunked on some smallmouth streams that in the past few weeks have been fishing really, really well for me.  Either these fronts that moved thru really put the fish down, or my spots have been fished out!  The water and conditions looked really good, but I missed 3 or 4 strikes and that's about all I got all weekend!   :'( :'( :'(

Skunks are rough esp 2 days in a row but they happen I tend to look at them not as skunks but as learning and charcter building experiences.

Toddro...
Our regular smallmouth spots here in N AL were the same way this weekend.  I say we blame it on the weather!!  All we saw at one of our spots was a SNAKE!! Not my kind of day fishing!

Ain't nothing wrong with a little skunk now and again.
