Title: Report
Post by: MikeA on September 23, 2006, 07:34:27 PM
Went fishing with Caneybuff and had a great trip as usual with Dan.  We caught some beautiful healthy Trout most of the day. Saw the biggest Caddis hatch I have ever seen anywhere, what a cool sight. On the way back we got to duck lightning and tornados all the way to the truck. We were crotched as low as we could get and Dan kept mumbling something about God and please and his truck the whole way back. ;D

It was good to spend a day with ya Dan! Looking forward to another.

Caddis hatch--did it look like it was snowing upside down?

Was that at sundown?

Dan's askeered of lightning. Big baby. Course, he ain't as askeered of it as me.  :o  I see a flash and I'm taking my rod apart and crawling on my belly. Tactical manuver you see.

Man, those big sparks in the sky are baaaaddd news!

I'll never forget once when I was out on the atlantic and I started hearing this buzzing noise...at first I thought it was my VHF radio so I turned it off but the noise continued...then I realized it was coming from the rods stored in the vertical holders in the console on my boat!  :o :o Yikes!! All those rods got laid down in the bottom of the boat, I dropped the vhf antenna and boogied out of there!!  :P It turned out to be quite a ride...we got caught out in a nasty storm, the compass literally started spinning in circles and all sorts of other fun stuff. I finally just found two large party boats and parked myself in between them so that at least I wasn't the tallest thing around for miles and miles.
