Sam "Tightlines" sent a message that he was passing through the TriCities last week, so I figured I would invite to share one of my favorite smallie rivers for an evening of topwater fishing. A trip to my mechanic to pick up my truck and unplanned circumstances put us on the water with less than an hour before prime fishing ended, so it was fast paced, get 'em quick fishing. A couple of good busts, but the fish were a bit tight lipped and haven't begun their fall frenzy yet, but nevertheless, it was fun.
Shoal stalking...

It's about time on the water with new friends and new experiences. That monster had to go at least 6....ounces. :o ;)
Looks like a good time for sure.

It fought like it was 8 ounces!
All I can say is, at least I didn't get skunked.

That sure is one aggressive little feller.
Looks like a great place to wet a line ;D
