Title: Christmas thread.
Post by: MikeA on December 12, 2008, 08:06:55 AM
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year early in case I forget.  :P

One more thing, I was in two of our favorite shops yesterday and they were super slow and have been slow. The economy is hurting everyone and these shops are no exception. I think it would be a great idea for us all to stop by and pick up a few items for that Christmas list. You'll be making more then one persons Christmas wish come true. Let's don't let our favorite places to hang out and shop disappear.

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate this season and Happy Holidays to everyone else.

I am thankful this season for health and family.  Also, I am thankful for the friends that I have met in my five years of fly fishing.  The fraternity of fly fishers is unmatched by any other that I am aware of.

I pray that we can find a way to keep our auto manufacturing from dissolving in front of our eyes.  There are no leaders at any level, only politicians and managers with their own narrow interests.

Again, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

Merry Christmas.

That snow last night helped me feel a little Christmas spirit.

Along Mike's train of thought- When my daughter and wife asked me for my wish list, I not only made the list items but also noted where those items could be found.  Mom and Pop shops.

I also gave my wife instructions as to where to make purchases. I think on line purchases are convenient , but I also think it falls in line with laziness. I know we have talked about this before, but it really hits home when you realize that behind that local business , is a local family. I hate to see local people suffer, and somebody punching keys on a computer and storing goods in the closet prosper.  :-\
