As some of you know my wife has a rare degenerative genetic neurological disorder...recent studies have found that in a small percentage of those that have this condition there is an antibody which when filtered out of the blood will either halt the progression and can even reverse some of the effects of this condition. Just got the test results back from earlier this week and she tested positive for this particular antibody, meaning that there is about a 50:50 shot that the treatment would work for her! More tests required to confirm but man this is about as good as news gets even if the treatment is obnoxious!

That is good news Tim. Keep us informed and let us know if we can be of any assistance.

That's cool Tim. Please tell Laura that Deb and I will be keeping our fingers crossed.
About the filtering---I heard K&N will boost performance but I tend to think it's just because it's not as dense and it don't filter as well. I'd probably stick with Fram if I were her. ;)

I'll be sure to suggest that Laura stay with the tried and true Fram filters Ron... lol
Thanks guys. It's a good week so far in this house!
Hmmm...though the wx is crappy and it's post frontal conditions since I'll be work travelling Sunday and can't go Friday or Sat due to band stuff...maybe the boss will let me go to the river tomorrow.

you guys will be in our thoughts and prayers Tim...best of luck with the treatments.
