Title: Smallmouth
Post by: MikeA on March 24, 2009, 08:26:36 AM
Got out on Sunday and did a float but the water was still pretty cold and the fish were tight lipped. Still not seeing any creek minnows in the river yet so it's early. Jarrod did manage to catch three or four small ones.

Same story across the mountains in SC.  Its just not time. :P  If we get another week and a half of this warm weather, it'll be on!

I've caught a few lately. These were caught on back to back cast this past Sunday afternoon wading a local freestone.

Good stuff Gary. That water looks familiar :o You take any temperatures while you were there?

Great fish and I like the glass rod too. Our river was still in winter mode. No fish anywhere of any kind to be seen.

Good Job Gary
Way to get out and catch a few.

Once this rain passes, and the high water creeps out.....IT'S ON!!

Go catch some more.
