Flip the hook in the vise, add the flash and then the Chinchilla strip. I like to punch the hook through the strip so it stays in place in the water.

Add the Green/Chartreuse Bucktail. On this version I used the darker body patch to match the Chinchilla. I’ve also used the Chartreuse with great success.

I like that!

Nice Sam. I tie some on a 60degree jig hook. I'll have to try the worm hooks. Thanks.

Send me a dozen. I'll let you know how they fish. ;D

Sam,
Beautiful Fly!
Do you use this fly for bass, brown trout, or both?

That is a caney fly if I ever saw one. Thanks Sam!

Sorry 'bout the blurry pics. I was about 4 cups of coffee in -- my hands wouldn't sit still to hold the camera steady!
I used this pattern this afternoon -- Steve Howard and I went chasin' some crik bass (gotta get your terms right), but the water was too blame dirty. We had about 15 minutes of killer takes. Of course we missed them all. :-\ Hell, they don't call it "catching" do they? Despite the threat of bad weather and lack of ripped lips, we still had a great time.

Had a good time Sam. I am going to go back there once the water clears and see if I can't coax a few out.
It was a good fix before having to work this weekend.
