I went on a salmon trip last week in Canada, and it was a lot of fun. I , unfortunately have no pics to share because I didn't land any fish. I hooked into 7 different fish , and some of the fights lasted 20 minutes, and took mme on several runs up and down the river. 4x tippet and a 9 wt. rod, and water from 3 inches to 3 ft deep = a lot of fun and a wild ride. I would estimate every fish to be over 25 # and the largest at 30#. I was amazed at the speed these fish can travel with 80 % of their body sticking out of the water as they run the fly and tippet against the gravel at 60 MPH. I had a blast and I look forward to going back.

Nice Jarrod. Pictures or not you have memories that will last a lifetime.

Sounds like a blast, Jarrod. You'll get your redemption when you return with a better guide, using YOUR gear, and this time.....A damn net! ;D
I could just picture it, though....what the picture would look like if you got one of those monsters in... ::)

Hip boots and all ;D
Hope the tour's going great for ya.

Travis, I promise you that the picture is not that far off from the truth. I just need my sage, my net, my flies, and spools of flouro. I don't even need the guide, because it was a public spot, and not too far from my hotel. ;D ;D
