Caught a dozen or so today..   hard work for so few ..  i believe its still alittle early

The old timers say it's on when the redbuds bloom.  They're starting to peek out a little bit now but I can't say they're in full bloom yet.

Hit em on Douglas near Leadvale last weekend and wore em out.  Then hit another run on the French Broad and found em too.  It is definetly on.

Floated the East Fork last Monday, 04/05, and they were showing up a little bit.  Action did not pick up until late afternoon but they are definitely starting their run.

this last cold front seems to have put the brakes on these boys.
