The Buffalo are starting to run and we hit em hard yesterday. Lots of fish caught and I mean lots, most were 5 to 10 pounds some were 20-25. My 6wt Xi2 was bending in places it aint supposed to bend. What a hoot!

Sounds like a blast!
I'm going to a river today that was loaded with Buffalo and Yellow carp last weekend. I may target them...but I'm waiting on natures progression.
Paddlefish, walleye, buffalo, quillback, yellow carp, shad, hybrids, .....STRIPERS! In that order.
They all use the same shoals, and they don't like to hang out together too much--(except the stipers/hybrids/shad).
Watched a guy get his popper anihilated last Friday. The splash was fierce.
Have fun with those big fish.

Went to the shoals, hoping to find stripers and some more of these guys:

But these guys had moved in. They weren't shy to our oversized topwater plugs.
