Title: Old Sinking Line
Post by: Travis C. on December 14, 2011, 12:52:54 PM
I found a spool of old sinking line in the closet. Right before chucking it, I thought maybe I could cut it up into a short shooting head or sinking leader section.

Is this worth the effort or just chuck it? The working end is pretty dry/rough feeling.

I'd keep it and use it to make sinking leaders with.  Harry Murray has some instruction on how to make these leaders in his Smallmouth book.  Sounds like a cool idea and he swears by them, not that he knows anything about catching smallies or trout...

Cut it into individual 3 inch lengths.  Very useful for destroying household pests.  :)
