Title: Got to spend a day fishing with the new 9' Redington predator
Post by: MikeA on March 01, 2012, 11:55:52 PM
It was a 9wt and I was casting a Rio Striper line in 350 grain. I was impressed enough that I'll be ordering a couple soon. I think it has a lot more feel then the 10wt shorter version which has always just been a no frills "get it done rod" to me. The 9' has a more crisp feel, plenty of back, and turning over my Musky leader and big flies took less effort from me. I noticed that as soon as I made a few casts with it.

The CPx is still my favorite of the Redingtons but I'm looking for rods that we can beat the hell out of and not worry about it. Check em out.

Great review on a great line of rods. Would love to try those out as they sounds like they have a good touch and feel to them.
