Title: Recent trek to East TN

Take the time to use the scenic route when traveling to the Appalachian Mountains.  I had to resize the pictures -- they just can't match the actual scenery.

Most of those shots were taken on the trip from Tellico Plains, TN to Raleigh, NC.  I took the back-country roads through the Cherokee National Forest.  It is beautiful there. 

I even drove through a controlled burn supervised by the Park Rangers.

The pic below shows the smoke from the fire.
