Title: Blurring the line between warmwater and coldwater...
Post by: gaspergou on May 22, 2012, 02:06:33 PM
Tried an E TN tailwater that has produced some decent browns in the past, gets a lot of bows dumped in it, and which sometimes has some big stripey bastards. The main river was low and surprisingly turbid, so I ran up an adjacent tailwater trib that was crystal clear and loaded with spots and stocker bows. Saw some spots that were much bigger than this one...

No stripers, but I couldn't see bottom in the many deeper, heavily wooded pools... and with that many bows around I can't believe they aren't there yet. I got chased back to the ramp by some lightning; after letting that blow over I ran back up the main river hoping it would clear up further up. No dice. Did scrape up a decent LM.

All in all, not a completely crappy day.

Nice fish Dude.  I love catching spotted bass...they color up nice in clear water.

Nice report.  That is a sweet looking Spot and a nice LMB too.
