Title: 43 lb. Rainbow?
Post by: TimM on March 01, 2013, 10:54:47 AM
Another random fish pic/video that I ran across while having my coffee this AM.  Don't know that it's legit, not photoshop or anything else. Supposedly caught in a lake in Saskatchewan and weighed 43 lbs.  Just thought a little fish porn with a trout emphasis might be of interest to start the weekend.  :)

That's a genetically modified trout if I am not mistaken. I believe they were originally created for food purpose and are sterile but once they found out how fast/big they grow became a popular fish to chase.

Someone else may know for sure.

The place I found that at made reference to it possibly being a hatchery "escapee" implying basically the same thing I think you're saying Travis.
