Hey guys, Hunter Banks fly shop in NC has some of Brad'd feathers in stock. They are trying to become a full blown retailer for him. She said he is difficult to work with from a business stand point (I think some guys have experienced this). She bought the feathers in an alley behind the shop, said Brad carries them around in a garbage bag. $50 got me 35 feathers.

Brad's done some musky sessions at HB in Asheville....that's where I got my stash. Good to know they are finally lining up a market for these feathers to sell.
Some of these hackles are almost too long.
So far, I'm pleased with the swimming action of some of the first ties with these quills.

He wants to fish and play and not be in retail or business. Should have thought about that before taking the plunge. ::)

yea I wanted to buy some from him at one time, but I don't need anything bad enough to beg or chase somebody down...

I have asked several times on their website about availability and have never had a reply. In my book, primo tail is just a pipe dream for them. They want a business but don't have the means to meet the demand. I'm not putting them down as I have been down the same road with building cane rods as well as other side ventures. They are busy with so many things that they don't have enough time to put into the business. I hope they do well and turn their reputation around but from what I have seen, I'm not holding my breath.

Who knows how many more eats they will really get? If it's like 1.5 to twice as many, it might be a good purchase. Hard to tell...
