One Musky to the boat. Dave had two solid eats that just pulled loose. Saw about ten fish total. No big fish sighted all 30+-" range.
I got careless with this fish and let it slice my finger open. Those teeth are like mini scalpels. Amazing how sharp they really are.

I'm back to tying up a few to replace the ones I lost earlier this year.
Topwater time is near.

Wait is that a fly or a spin fish rig????

What's all this PM message saying stuff like, "I don't think it's worth the cost and time I've invested to chase those damn fish!"
I knew you'd come around and stop sounding like Icthus and BD.
Way to get after them again and Nice looking flies!
BTW, I'm looking at SeaGrip or Lindy gloves..it's not worth severing an artery.

I do still hate those fish with a passion. It's not worth the time and investment to chase them. Like a trailer tramp in an abusive relationship, I just keep coming back for more. I was lucky this time all I got was a sliced finger.
I just got brave and decided I didn't need pliers for this small fish... I knew better. Maybe I thought this time would be different, that the fish had really changed....

That's two flies. Both single hooks. You should see a Musky fly box all filled up. It's impressive. We're not the average fly fishermen... We're much, much, sicker.

Oh TWILES, wait til your second kid comes. You start contemplating sleep instead of fishing.
Hats off Mike,
Pal

This made me literally laugh out loud Mike. I can SO relate. Thanks!
When I read this it struck me that this is one of the somewhat intangible things that creates the common bond among many of us here... we all have our illnesses....and obsessions...and inability to resist going back again and again. The details vary, but the root cause(s) are the same and that's what makes us more alike than different in some key ways although other comparatively superficial details vary.
Or at least that's how it seems to me right now - ha!
Thanks for sharing Mike.

Solid work Mike! Time for chain mail gloves.
