Snap on Fishing rod holder. I hate putting my reel into the river when I need two free hands.

Was gonna say the same thing.  My first and only vest was an el cheapo Bass Pro that has a clip already there.  Never used it and probably wouldn't use this unless I'd paid extra for it.  Probably because I didn't know what the clip was for!  :D
