Montana Supreme Court affirms stream access.
"It's going to have a profound impact on public access to publicly owned lands and water in the future," he said. "From now on, Montanans may access rivers and streams from all public roads from within the right-of-ways, regardless of whether it's a 'dedicated' road (that is, one that was formally established as a public way) or a prescriptive road. If it's a public road, Montanans may use the right-of-way to get into rivers and streams for recreational purposes."
