Went upstream 2 miles above Farris Creek and floated back to bridge the on 12 July 14. Water at 240 CFS, clear and cold! Spoke to a fellow who said that they were draining water from different level of water behind Tim's Ford Dam that they had the last few years. I do not carry a thermometer but I know the water seems colder than the past couple of years. Caught several small rainbow, browns and 1 brooke on green and blue 1/16 oz rooster tail. Noticed lots of small fly hatch from 4:30 on. Lots of surface action. Kept a few to eat and all were full of Japanese Beatles. Experience no tubers and only a few canoeist. Still noticed the chemical smell below the water cress farm discharge point.
