Has anyone else experienced this....

For the last week or so I have been having trouble loading the forum page on both of my computers with both MSIE and Firefox.  No problem with the "Title" page but the forum has been so slow as to be inaccessible.  It also doesn't seem to be specific to my location as it happens both at home and when I'm on the road.   It was so bad the last few days the forum wouldn't load at all....after waiting a loooong time the page would just go blank and state "done" in the status bar. All the other pages I visit regularly seem to work ok.   Something change on the forum end recently?  Suggestions on things to check on my end?

The forum has been cracked by people wanting solicit. I'm working on it, hopefully Jay or I will track down the problem soon.

I may have to suspend new registration until we get it fixed.

I've had the same problem too.  At first, I thought it was my laptop, but it also uploads the forum and discussions at a turtle's pace on my super-fast work computer.

What's the holdup??
Mike, you need to buy a faster hamster to run the wheel that powers this site. ;D

Noticed the unsolicited registrations from the RIPE network. I killed about 4 last night.

I am working on it now.  I should have it fix in a hour or so.  I have most of the Maint. done and just need to do a couple of upgrades.  These free boards have security patches very regularly.

I was not able to get the upgrade to run.  I will try to do it manually during a low use time ASAP.

Even after I got the upgrade to work it was still slow. I checked our IP and saw about 615 sites sharing the same IP as ours. It could have been a slow down due to an overloaded server maybe. I was going to call the hosting service but everything seems to be better now.
