You know, it's really kinda weird how these things seem to work out.   I  have *intended*  to be at multiple of these events in the past.  Something always got in the way. Just more of Mr Murphy who has been a large presence in my life the last couple.  Anyhoo.... when talk about this event popped up my first thought was something like: "well finally I can at least go to one of these outings"...or  something like that...  ;D ....but there's not a chance in Hades....the other person in this house has a b-day with a zero in it that weekend.    :o :o

Have a great time guys. I'll eventually make one of these.

I would like to be there also but my 10 day South Flordia trip fishing for Snook and maybe some Reds has me out of town then.  I would not miss it otherwise!

Well it looks like it is going to be just a handful of people at this thing :-\ so I guess we won't need as much beer and food as I thought. I just hope we have a couple of pickers show up, because I can I can't do it.
I just don't care!

Less than a week away!

In just a couple of days, we'll be sitting by a blazin' fire, eating like Kings, sipping on some brews and corn liquor, strumming some strings.....and maybe catching a fish or two.
I've been tying in preparation for some big fish and hopin' the water and the weather's right.

Looking foward to a good turnout...
Otherwise, I'll be stuck with Mr. Grammy-Hollywood rockstar and that other crazy fellar who smokes them Ghetto-Grape cigars. ;D

I may get there late Thursday night to try for some browns if the water's off...if anyone's crazy enough to join me, give me shout.

See you soon boys!

Travis

EDIT=I was just reminded of something I promised for Thursday afternoon/evening with the grandson.  I'll be there but it might not be until Friday morning.
Yesterday, I was at the bottom. I was at the bottom of a valley, in the river. Then my eyes hiked up the mountains to the snow capped peaks. I thought, "When I am at this lowest place I can be, standing in a river, everything is looking up."

Ron, we'll hit it again on another night, plus the temps are supposed to be frigid!

Jarrod, if you and Mike are up for some nocturnal mayhem, we'll see what the generation and weather's doing.  I plan on being on the Caney somewhere on Thursday around 9:00PM  your time.

When you get a chance, could you please forward some camping directions, to us newcomers?

What time will you be hitting the water on Saturday? I'll be half way through a 4 week training class and have 4 weekends off, plan on fishing Saturday if I can get Reddog away from the heater. ;D

Tell Reddog to bring the heater.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

David as soon as we unthaw we'll be out there. Stop by for a visit.
Wherever the standard of freedom and Independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her heart, her benedictions and her prayers be.

But she goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy.

She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all.

She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.
