Parting Shots
« on: April 17, 2010, 09:17:53 AM »
Thursday was our last day in a Maui and after checkout we had a few hours to kill before departure. We ate at one our favorite restaurants in Paia on the North Shore and then drove to the upcountry and visited a little place called the Sacred Garden.

Here are a few shots on from the garden and the rooster came from a school yard on the way to the garden.

#1 is great. What's that keys chicken doing way over there?
Wherever the standard of freedom and Independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her heart, her benedictions and her prayers be.

But she goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy.

She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all.

She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.

Great shots Steve,  I like #1 a lot.

LOL Mike. I wonder if you would get that one.  ;D  People keep chickens everywhere on the island, go figure.

#1 is by far my favorite. I got home, downloaded it and just freaked. I thought, I have a winner here. That halo'ing effect from the macro makes the shot.

Thank you both for the great feedback, it is appreciated.
