Had not one hit all day!. It was hot but water temp seemed just fine. I DID see quite a few stacked in a hole however. Will see what happens after things cool off a bit.

Going to try for my first visit to the Caney this Friday to wade and fish.....
I have been watching the generation schedule the past couple of weeks and I am wondering what would be the best time to hit the water?
Been considering fishing upstream from the rest stop on I-40

Best time depends on the schedule.  The water takes a couple hours to reach the rest stop and about twice that long to fall back out to fishable levels.

Downstream from the rest stop is more work to get to, but it will give you more wading opportunities than upstream.

Thanks! Downstream it is.
I'll try and post a report if we are successful.

Fishing has been less then productive for me.  I don't know what's going on,  I've been throwing those buggers that driftwood tied for me with the corn looking ball up front. I did get some of those big indicators that they use in Alaska so the coool thing is at least my indicator doesn't sink.  I've been throwing 8s and 12s I think my pal needs to tie bigger.  Good luck this weekend I might see you down there. Watch the water it comes sooner then later with the sluice

I've been thrown out of sites for saying less than that and that came from a Mod. Gotta love it!
