I'm ready for some White Bass, Buffalo, Smallies, Striper, Trout, long warm nights, and LOTS OF WARM SUNSHINE!
In the meantime we made the day of it chasing river ghosts in Musky Country. Dave and I fished Sat and Glen and I on Sunday. Sunday was more of an endurance test then a fishing trip but we endured. It rained, sleeted, rained some more sleeted, snow balls fell from the sky, flurried, more rain, some gusts of wind followed by more rain, snow showers and rapidly dropping temps and it drove us off the water. Then just when we had the boat loaded,,, the skies opened up and it was nice outside....

That saying about if it isn't fit for man or beast outside, go fishing... Well I'm calling BullShit on that one. Sat on the other hand was a fun day. Dave and I set out on what promised to be a good day and we weren't disappointed.
Dave started it off with a nice fish.

Then it was my turn. We spoted this fish in a cut and lost it to glare. I made a cast in the general vicinity and spotted the fish just below where my fly landed. Pause,, pause,, wait,,, wait,,, STRIP STRIP, EAT!

Dave being a gentleman skipped his turn and let me have another.

This fish appeared out of nowhere and exploded on my fly. I yelled out CRAP he missed it. Dave turned around just in time to see him come back and not miss it again!

Love to see these flared open and coming at my fly.

We moved several other fish one of which was a leviathan. Dave, thanks for running the boat all day! Glen Sorry dude thats Musky Fishing.
Till Next time.
