Smokies Creek

My tourist shot of the Stinks.
Man this trail isn't so bad.
Ok, so it's a little steep.
About now we're wondering if we've taken the wrong trail. Here BD is practicing his breathing technique which involves taking a deep breath and cursing every other word on the exhale. I tried it too and it works surprisingly well.
Quick snapshot from the top. Or so we thought....
Finally a Creek!
A well protected creek!
With some rewarding scenery.
Spring Tornado damage. The Little River area got hammered and there is alot more damage then I would have expected in such a mountainous area.
I would have assumed we were safe from tornados up there and probably would have gotten in trouble had I been there when the storms hit.
The Falls.
Here is BD doing his best River runs through it.
Here he is being BD and falling off the rock.
The Trail is in pretty decent shape with no real challenges except the elevation change.
Nice!!

Awesome pics Mike! That kind of fishing to me captures the true essence of fly fishing. I now want to go to the mountains again.

Nice pictures! I like that last shot where you can really see the yellow tail of the juvenile Copperhead.

Thanks guys it's an amazing place and I'm glad I could share some of it. There will be plenty more to come.

Glad BD wasn't seriously hurt, but I'd be lying if I told you I didn't chuckle a bit at the mention of him sliding off that rock.

Thanks for the great pictures. Makes me wonder how many copperheads I have passed by and never seen through the years.

Great pictures as always! Thanks for the eye candy as I've been missing fishing the Smokies this fall. In another week I'll get to fix that problem though.
Get into any big browns on the larger Smokies streams or did you just stick to the smaller streams?

Nice pics. Lots of rivilets in the Park and outside the Park are cool places for a camera and an annual pilgrimage. Pretty fragile though as far as fish catching and handling.

We weren't looking for the Browns but I heard they were doing their thing. I'm just exploring right now, getting my feet wet more than anything. We were back this weekend but didn't get to fish much at all. We did climb the Chimney Tops Sat and that was pretty awesome. I'm heading back again this weekend David. Holler.

Ok I'll change the name of the post. Even though there are other forums where small creek names in the park are mentioned in posts daily,,, I'll change mine to appease everyone.
