New Years day on the lower Elk
« on: January 01, 2008, 12:38:36 PM »
wind blowing with gale force or it seems, wanted to start the year off right by wetting a line, so I took the #8 and some Streamers down in front of the house and wet a line. I have never caught a fish here and been here since 2000, but I don't fish much here. I have saw a largemouth that could eat this Mountain Treeing Fiest, saw the fish 3 times.

river is low, maybe you can see where the grass/land sticks out from the bank on the right, is two gravel bars, usually don't notice them until you float over them.

usually have to step in or across this, but it is dry.

We are blessed, for sure.

The pup, Jake is my wifes dog, but since I'm the one who stays out a bigger percentage of the time, he thinks he's mine. Plan on putting him in the squirrel timber after the deer hunters get out of the woods.

I'm still wanting another Bokyin Spaniel, we've had two, both done passed on. Sure miss them,

Hey David,
the nature pics pretty much speak for them selves, still trying to find a bad one but so far I haven't, only badly taken ones like most of mine turn out.  the dog, is another thing though, guess you already know that we are all dog lovers here, think you may have seen our shop dog, Eli.

just looking at your pics made me want to go down to the river, take my dog, and just be out there, fishing or not...thanks for sharing
