Storing your cigars is optimal and really the only thing you should be concerned about. I would make sure you get a hygrometer and humidification device. Whether that be beads or foam or other type of humidification.
Activator is often referred to as PG or Propylene Glycol. It is not necessary if you use distilled water.
I really like "heartfelt" beads for humidification as they last a long time and maintenance is low. Would be more than happy to talk to you about this and give you the low down on maintenance to maximize your cigar experience.
As far as temp and humidity, you will often hear 70/70. 70 percent humidity and 70 degrees. I like 65-67 percent humidity as it makes the cigar easier to smoke (not as wet). The temp, as long as it is below 70 will be good.
