I used to fish over there a lot, but spent all of my time there upstream from McFarland Park, in the Wilson Dam tailwater.  Good smallie, white bass, hybrid, striper, and the ever present Tennessee River drum.  I'm not sure if the skipjack would still be there this far into the summer.  The tailwater is kind of rocky and shallow, if the generation is low.  It would actually be perfect for your jet boat if you haven't sold it yet.

Thanks for the info, are you talking about the upper dam or lower? I have read a little about the lake, and some refer to the upper dam, and some the lower.
Thanks again for the response!! ;D

I've seen a fellow catch some nice stripers in the boils of the dam during a very high temp late summer day.  Big water, but navigable.  It's a fishy tailwater.

I'm talking about the upper dam.  Nearest town and launch ramps are in Florence, AL on the north side and Muscle Shoals, Al on the south side.
