That's funny...I guess the beer and the song are named after the same thing, the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgeral on Lake Superior.

Another useless piece of Great Lakes Beer knowledge - their Burning River Pale Ale is named after the infamous fire on the Cuyahoga River near Cleveland...the river was so polluted that it actually caught on fire...only in Cleveland :)

It caught on fire more than once. But several other rivers have also caught on fire.

PS my aunt has a polaroid of EF taken in the early 70's from near the Soo. She remembers hearing the organ music.
