Thanks, Tim!  I  picked up a TFO TiCr 6wt blank to build for my dad.  He's been needing an all-purpose rod for the limited fly fishing he takes part in.

Good choice Sam, i still think TFO made a mistake in dropping that series, they were a good all around blank.

I've got the TiCr in both 5wt and 9wt and have been very pleased with them.  Plenty of backbone with just enough speed.  The 9 is a tad on the heavy side, but was more than enough in Michigan chasing browns with 400 grain line.

No doubt.  My 9wt makes for a sore arm the next day.

2:33AM, whew.  you were up past my bedtime, steve.  pics coming soon.  i've been buried at work and at home.  i did get to do a bit of lawn casting today.  I bought a Lamson Konic K2 for it and loaded it with some Airflo Ridgeline 6wt floating line.  Dad's gonna love it.

Awesome on the build man.

How's the AirFlo lines? I have heard they are pretty stiff.

Well, I was up because work woke me up to resolve a system issue, otherwise, I would have been asleep.  :o

Good job on the build.

Nice job man.

Does your dad fly fish a lot? Mine finally caught the bug real good this past year.
