Fished Collins Sunday with good numbers of smallmouth and a few red eye thrown in for good measure.
Fish are keyed in on top and had best luck with carolina blue popper #8. Not much luck with streamers or nymphs.
Spin fishermen did not fare well with small spinners or crank baits.
Water downstream of Shells Ford access is more productive and will continue to improve as fish migrate downstream this fall to deeper water.
