negative tide fishing
« on: August 04, 2023, 10:31:27 AM »
Took Pal Jr out to Caledsi island the other evening.  Negative tide, hot, and a shower to the west of us.  I am not a live bait kind of fisherman, I usually throw artificials or a fly.  Well, now that he is getting older and watches people catch fish with live bait I have started to learn more about it and have had moderate success.  I say all that to say, he broke off a 28-30" red, lost a decent snook, landed a 19" trout and finished the day with a whisker kitty.  Got back at the ramp at 8:30.  He gets in the car and said, "Dad, we should use live bait more often."  He's probably not wrong.

A blessing to have a son who loves to fish,
Have a great weekend pals,

Pal
"You see the fish, make the cast. Tic, tic, hit him, no not a trout set!!!!!! What are you doing?"
