Trip to Cane Creek.
« on: December 31, 2007, 10:00:02 AM »
The fishing sucked up in the hills but the scenery and company wasn't too bad. Brady caught his personal best Rainbow 20+" and BD and I got a skunk unless chubs count. Brady landed the only fish of the day. That dry hot summer was hard on our creeks. I'll wait till spring before I head back out there. Too bad these creeks couldn't get some of those fish that TWRA is throwing away in the urban stocking program. Oh well I guess lazy folks gota catch fish too. ::)

Here's a few shots of the area from the Zeiss lens.

Nice pics. I've fished the stretch below those ledges. It's the only place I've caught trout on that stream. Thanks for the report and the memories.

The creek looks like it's in decent shape cosidering the dry summer we went through.

LRM and I had to take a road trip today to get out of the house. We did a drive by on Pine, Sink, and Mtn Creeks. They are all as low as I have ever seen them. Still some good runs that look like possible feeding lanes. The drop offs look fishy as well. Too bad the cold and the wind kept us from wetting a line.

Water does look good all things being considered. Haven't been there in a couple of years.
