Scenes from Smallie Country June & July
« on: July 16, 2008, 07:47:55 PM »
A few more scenes from floating with Racer X.

Spotted this guy "piggy-backing" a HUGE 35+ lb carp.  I thought he was a carp too, at first....About 5 feet from the boat in 1.5 feet of water---I splat the fly on his head, and he SLAMMED it!  Splashing water against the boat as he pulled the rod under the bow, I nearly had a heart attack.  Best take on a fly yet.

Same fly, another fish...I'll post this pattern later...it's working well

Off to Rusty's home waters:

Wish more of these would hatch off---freakin' Huge!

Walleye Surprise

High country smallie:

Scenic river----floating some bony water:

Good times

Travis

Man, Travis you are killin me with all these nice smallie shots.

I almost took a job in Johnson City yesterday but my family would have never let us leave with my 7 month old.

Why! Why! I could have been having fun with the small jaws too.
 :'(

Nice work

Travis

Outstanding!
Wherever the standard of freedom and Independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her heart, her benedictions and her prayers be.

But she goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy.

She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all.

She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.

I think Racer took me to some of those places. ;) They look very familiar.
