Stalcup's flash fry
« on: September 21, 2008, 10:21:47 PM »
Have you guys heard of this streamer? It has quickly found its way to the to of my streamer choices. This streamer has two zonker strips, bucktail, tons of flash, hourglass eys and epoxy with glitter in it. The fly has tons of flash and tons of movement, even more when tied on a non-slip mono loop. I'll try to take a pic of one and post it up for you guys. During the shad kill these would be nasty on the caney.

That would look killer in gray and white.  That would definitely match the shad kill.  Thanks for sharing the pattern. ;)
Fish on!

Looks tasty.  I think that would work damn near anywhere and certainly near a dam during a shad kill.  I've always liked Stalcup's stuff.  Those little ultra scuds of his have long been a personal favorite of mine when the fish get picky.

As requested, gray and white.

This would be a great fly for Dollies in the Pacific NW.

That fly got crushed all day on a float i did with a buddy today. If i'm streamer fishing, odds are it is a flash fry. This thing comes to life on a loop knot and has incredible motion. Looking foward to seeing a pic of a caney hog hooked on one of those.
