Elk 1/31/2009
« on: February 01, 2009, 11:07:45 AM »
We headed up to the Elk yesterday and it was a beautiful day! Temp was in the 50's, sun was shining and the wind was fairly calm. Generation stopped at 9 and we got there about 10.  We were SHOCKED to see so very few people already there and it was that way all day. For most of the day, me and my husband and two of our friends pretty much had the river to ourselves. There were a few people down down towards the bend and people would come and go up by the bridge. Fishing was slow. It was a good while before I even saw a fish and I ended up with two browns for the day. I caught them on flies that my husband tied. (he loves that) All in all, it was a great day!

Rachel, sounds like a good day on the water and catching fish on your own flies (or husbands) makes you feel good all the way around.

The weather was beautiful yesterday, I should have been on the water instead of spending money on other hobbies.  :)
