Thanks for asking the question Grumpy. I also enjoy fish with you and want no harm to come of you as well. A swimming lesson every now and then is ok!

The situation currently with the Caney running so much water has me looking for other fishing waters. Also thinking about the Cumberland. If I want to haul more than one person in the boat my Gheenoe is a little small. It's so bad I am looking at an additional boat.

A used wide 16' jon boat with prop ob. I've wanted to fish the Steam Plant for years. Hearing and reading the skip jack/hybrid stories and all. I don't want to risk my life, my partners life, boat or gear doing so. I love my Gheenoe. The freeboard is low. It's easy to get in and out of for wade fishing. It's light weight and very stable and good for one or two people to fish from standing in placid water. I know the guys in Flordida use them in some rough conditions but not on purpose.

Mike, I value you opinion. Would you have taken your Riverhawk to the Steam Plant?
I think Grumpy sums it up well when he says "there is no one perfect boat".
Thanks guys! Let me know what you think.
