Gary and Paula are real nice folks, and have nice cabins for rent. Henry is full of White River info, and is an avid fly fisherman.

Very good - world record 40lb 4oz brown trout caught there - browns are self-sustaining, heavily stocked with rainbows.

I fished there July 3rd with guide Dan Hudgens & we caught mid-30's, mainly rainbows with a few browns mixed in.  Sz16 beadhead sowbugs, sz14 redasses were good early a.m., then conehead rabbit zonker streamers in the early afternoon.  Not much bug activity that day though - Dan says there generally isn't - more of a nymph & streamer trout water.  Call & speak with Jed or Ron at Little Red Fly Shop in Heber Springs & they can tell you more about where to wade or how to get in touch with Dan, etc.  Very helpful folks.
