Outboard prop to jet conversion.
« on: November 29, 2006, 04:24:25 PM »
Are there pumps/intakes available for most makes of outboards? I know they make them for Yamaha and Merc. What about OMC, Honda?

I don't think it would be a good idea to try to convert my little 15 horse Honda to a jet. What would the net horsepower be? Probably about 10? It's not enough now, but if I ever found a little bigger outboard, I'd like to know if it was convertible.
Yesterday, I was at the bottom. I was at the bottom of a valley, in the river. Then my eyes hiked up the mountains to the snow capped peaks. I thought, "When I am at this lowest place I can be, standing in a river, everything is looking up."

Ron I think there’s Jet conversion kits for most outboards 25 HP and up.

Here’s the company who makes all of them for the various manufactures. http://www.outboardjets.com/
