Muskie flies for this Fall
« on: September 30, 2009, 06:57:37 PM »
I'll probably throw out my shoulder trying to throw 'em, but it will be worth it to have a big muskie shred just one of these flies......I'm hoping for big things to come.

Looks like a hell of a lot of fun and worth a sore shoulder for a few days!  :)

No stinger, articulated wire....etc.

Just 6-0 and 8-0 hooks.  If they don't scarf it down, I'll get my heart broke.  But with 8-9 inches of EP fiber, a second hook would be FOUL city.

True on the foul. Another option is tie a stinger in but cut the hook at the bend to help with the fly shape.

Those guys should catch fish!!

Nice travis, come on down this winter and we'll stick us one.

I'm definitely up for that...

Also, if we close on this house, I'll be able to float to one from my front yard....I don't want to get too excited....but  it just might end up working out ::)

I definitely use up a pack up in a hurry.
With the price of SF Blend and EP...these flies aren't too much less than those damn expensive muskie baits.

John, I'm hearing great things about Melton Hill...we may need to make a few runs there this fall.
