Are the creeks going dry.

Looking around at some of the creek and river levels we are way below normal. We could really use a good rain, for about a month.

I fished the West Fork yesterday and you could see how much the water has dropped. I am sure that has to do with the TWRA, but some of the creeks I have been fishing in Lebanon are extremely low.

I do have a question concerning fishing in the rivers.  You see guys catching crappie like they are going out of style; I throw everything on the menue and cant get a bite.  What gives?  Mike, I know that you have fished that river a lot how do you get a fish to bite a fly.  Am I not deep enough, to big of fly, to small of fly, or just not going to happen this year.

Craig if you insist on Crappie fishing with a fly rod buy some micro jigs in various colors and some big strike indicators. You might want to pick up a few leaders and a couple spools of tippet cause you’ll be hanging up and breaking off a lot.
Depth depends on the season.

Or you can just take an ultralight spinning rod and save yourself alot of frustration.  ;)

lil white buggers with pink marabou tails, or reversed, pink buggers with white marabou tails, add a little weight so they'll sink slowly & pay attention to where the guys are catching them, crappies like structure.
