Grey's Streamflex or ECHO Shadow longer rods ?
« on: June 12, 2010, 10:53:46 PM »
Has anyone fished or fondled one of these 10' & 11' rods ? I know FlySouth carries ECHO but never noticed anything but the #8 and above rods.

I was in Chattanooga today, went by Feather & Fly to look at the Streamflex but they had a sign on door, closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Check out some of those LOOP adventure series 10' rods on e-bay. They have a nice quality and are light weight...

I have a Cabelas FT series 11' 6wt I used when the Cumberland was fishing well. I liked it but I don't have much use for it anymore. I'd part with it if your interested David. It's a US blank with a lifetime warranty.

I made a road trip to cast one of these, best gas money I ever spent, I've even cast a Orvis Helois 10' #5, that extra length would take some getting use to. I've caught a few fish in my time on 9' rods, looks like I will stay with 9 footers ;)
