I decided I didn't need my 400 this day... I shot these with the 70-200 f4 IS at quite the distance not really expecting much judging from previous attempts at this distance. While they are VERY cropped and aren't magazine quality they impressed the heck out of me. Cropping this much in the past has been a complete waste of time for me. A little PS and I could shine these up nicely.

Grump, it was on Priest.

Man it's depressing to look at these on a regular monitor. Maybe it's just this Dell but my Mac LED blows this thing away completely. If your doing photography you should do yourself a big favor and look into purchasing an LED monitor.

Great shots Mike, and you are right, I have the LED monitor and it is totally different, expecially since I did the color calibration on it.

Great shots of the Bald Eagle, where on Priest did you see this magnificant bird?  I particularly like # 2, as it looks like a painting with incredible detail.  sometimes that croping does incredible things.  What PP software are you using?
