Canoe float on the Clinch
« on: August 19, 2010, 01:27:41 PM »
I am wanting to fish the Clinch on a canoe float. Is it feasible to put in below Norris Dam and take out 7-8 miles down stream? Would there be wading opportunities on no generation? Is it a bad idea altogether? Is there a shuttle service anyone can recommend? If generation were to occur would it make it too dangerous to be on the river in a canoe? Any help anyone can give would be appreciated.

you want to look at canoeing between the weir and peach orchard.  from the dam to the weir is only about a mile and half maybe two miles.  great river. peach orchard to 61 is my fav float (river does have class 0ne rapids)
