Smart man DD, Glenn used to want me to run his boat in the winter, i preferred to be hunkered down below the front deck ;D

I agree with Ronnie, stay hunkered down and warm.  ;D

Sounds like you have a winner with your new motor!

Gentlemen,

I am more than pleased with the motor, 25 pushed the boat fine, but the 40 makes me feel like a Bassmaster :o.

Glenn was running about 10mph, I was sitting up against the Bassmaster butt seat on the casting deck, taking in the splendor of the Steam Plant, Glenn gave it some throttle, lucky for me I was holding on between my legs to keep my hands out of the wind, if not I would have flipped back into the middle of the boat.

After the fishing was done for the day we ran down towards Flippers and back to Coles Ferry, I was sitting facing the rear, was running 20 and he twisted the throtle, I'd have to tense up my stomach muscles to keep from bending over and gravity taking me into the rear. Gets on plane in what seems like a boats length.

Money well spent.

Glad you found happiness David.

Don't know how well that boat holds onto water but be aware that jets will spin easily since there is no keel in the water. At high speed with little boat in the water a hard turn will cause it to slide and once you lose suction at the jet, hang on!

Glenn gave it a few hard turns trying to see if motor would cavatate, didn't slide, just dug in and turned

David,

Describe the boat: length, make, etc. Do you plan to use it on the local streams too? I know you have had and used Gheenos and other similar river boats, how does this one compare?

Tracker Grizzly 16 x 48" .100 welded Jon.  I have a Gheenoe now, great small water boats with a PROP, they are not jet hulls. 48" is minimum transom width, flatter  better.
