12-26-10 musky report
« on: December 27, 2010, 08:17:19 PM »
well lets try this again, went yesterday morning to hunt em down. got these two in a coulple hours of fishing. water was clear and ice cold. i think thats why the smaller fat one seems frozen, but it swam off like a champ after doin some cradeling. the bigger one gave me a good fight on the light tackle. it was fun till it got windy and cold, aint worth it when the guides ice up every third cast. thats why i was using the spinning rod instead of baitcaster. spinning reel seems to perform better in icy conditions than coventionals. imo.

Nice fish. Must be fun on the spinning tackle. What baits are you throwing?

Thanks. I totally agree with putting in your time. Going to fish the River on Sunday probably, Hopefully my time will pay off.

Good fishing,
Brian
