We boated one
« on: May 03, 2011, 04:06:04 PM »
Friends Brad & Kristen and I got out on the Noli Sunday afternoon.  Slightly overcast & cool early but warmed up a bit during the day.  Water temp was 61*.

Psycho got this one off one of the many sandy banks in this river where it was transitioning to deeper water.  (Another fishing friend of mine says the sucker fingerlings from the spawn like to hang out in these areas and that the muskies are probably lurking around these areas for the forage....?)  Taped just a hair over 40".  Landed it with a trout net (head barely fit) and hand at the tail!

Amazing to me was the 10# test (with wire leader) being used; he got the fish in pretty green too - quickly swam away upon release.

Only fish saw all day; of course, visibility was still relatively low...

Wow, THANKS Baryonyx!  That's a lot of really swell info.. I printed it out so that I can keep it in the boat with me, along with a picture of you; my new HERO!  I'll be sure to keep in mind everything you said.  Did you vote for Obama?  I bet you did.

No No No!!!!!!!!!  I am tired of people bitching about how to fish, how to hold a fish, and most of all what you are doing to a river.  This kind of thread Crap put on the internet about holding a fish reminds me about a posting two years about the Caney Fork and what you are doing to a river (Drag Chains).  If one can remember, the Caney was turning into one of the top fisheries in the South East and Mother Nature, along wit the TVA gave us all the middle finger and ruined the river for a moment and now we are left with what we have.  I am tired of people bitching about S$%^ that doesn't matter. People in Florida used to bitch about how to hold a snook and then the freeze of the century ruined that.  S$%^ fire, live and let live.

Get attention from positive feedback instead of criticizing others.   I feel like I need to start handing out midol before reading about musky.  Corey, you are good fisherman who puts in a lot of time, but your post or getting boring with criticism.  I promise the fellas catching these bustards have been doing a lot longer then you, without trying to get street cred on the internet.

It's fishing, not chasing the dead Bin Laden, (Piss on the basturd)
